One of the most powerful features of our Fulcrum field app solution, is the flexibility of the data acquisition workflows. By creating different "apps" you can define the information your technicians take in the field from SIDEREAL and what extra information they should acquire.

To make our integration run smoothly, the fields have to be set up with the correct data names. Don't worry, you don't have to set them up yourself. If you use our pre-defined templates as a starting point, all fields will be set up correctly for you to get started as soon as possible.

Available Templates

Solar Punchlist: A template used to tackle anomalies in the field. It contains all fields we support, so should be trimmed down for a specific use case.

Using a Template

Using a template is pretty straightforward. Just follow these easy steps:

  1. Click on one of the templates above.

  2. Click the Use This App button.

  3. You'll enter the Fulcrum app builder. Alter the app as you like. Change the name and description to something appropriate.

  4. Click Save App on the bottom right of the screen to create the app.

Updating an App from a Template

You can't easily update an existing app from a new version of the template, as the existing records won't have data for the required fields. It's thus usually easiest to create a new app from the template and start from there.

If you really want to update the app, you can compare the fields in your app with the fields used in the template and update the fields accordingly. Make sure to take over the correct data names in the fields as well. Otherwise the field matching of the integration won't work properly.
